30 Days of Thanks

30 Days of Thanks – Day 6

“Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you n the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work…”

Thank you Lord for those fellow servants in the ministry. For we know that working for you and your people brings both seasons of joy and seasons of hardship. I thank you, Father for each and every individual, both those I know and those I don’t know who gladly serve you.

“Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone…”

Heavenly Father, this is no easy task, but as Christians we are called to keep each other accountable and live in the peace only you bring. I continue to pray for your peace in this earthly life. May my life be an opportunity to help those who need an extra measure of your care. May I not be rushed on the road or in my daily walk, so that I can spend time with your beloved children and show the same patience that you have shown to me.

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

1 Thessalonians 5:12-18
