On this 22nd day of November, I am thankful for community.
There is the community of believers, which I am so thankful to be a part of.
Yesterday I sat in on a worship service provided to the disabled and aging, hosted by a couple who has volunteered in this way for 9 years and are still so energetic and moved by the spirit. I sat there with a dozen people who all wanted to worship the Lord. Every voice sang quiet or loud and it was a great moment to see that this community is made up of ALL kinds of people and it’s a beautiful thing.
I am thankful for the community of runners that we were a part of this morning, as we ran the Cobble Gobble Turkey Trot! Whether you are an avid runner or at your first race, are all welcome in this community and the energy and atmosphere is a great motivation.
And I am thankful for the opportunity to celebrate today with new friends who have been very hospitable! Thankful for great food and football, too!
