On this 8th day of November, I am thankful for God’s Word.
In the midst of change, tragedy and events that impact various facets of our lives, God’s Word is always the place to turn.
Because of our sinful human nature, sometimes the words that we speak are unclear or misinterpreted and I wish at those times, that we would let God’s Word speak.
In many of these cases, I want to speak, but I don’t want to offend or put my foot in my mouth, so instead I turn to Scripture that speaks to me and hope and pray that it will speak to those I share it with.
I am thankful that God always speaks what I need to hear in His Word.
God’s most important message to the world comes from Scripture, the message of love through Jesus Christ, his son, who desires for all to be saved through Him and know how His love brings peace.
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. 5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 15:3-6
