Names of Jesus Day 20: Lord of Lords

I didn’t get to the post yesterday. It’s gonna bother me because I am one of those people that likes things organized. And Day 19 will be missing from the order. But I also understand that I can’t always do everything and yesterday was one of those days where I saw my plate filling up faster than I could control. I recognized that I wasn’t going to get everything done that I wanted to, so instead I took the evening off and rested.

Thankfully, God is still God and provides another day for me to honor His name.

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe. 18 He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing. 19 Love the sojourner, therefore, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt. 20 You shall fear the Lord your God. You shall serve him and hold fast to him, and by his name you shall swear.21 He is your praise. He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen. 22 Your fathers went down to Egypt seventy persons, and now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars of heaven.” – Deuteronomy 10:17 – 22, ESV

12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14 to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords,16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.” – 1 Timothy 6:12 – 16

These passages says it all about who God is and what He does through and because of His son, Jesus Christ!
