    It seems like its been awhile since I posted! Well, we are currently traveling and working on moving our stuff across the country, so yea, we have been busy. But I wanted to post this thought: It has been amazing to be back in MI to see friends and family and meet some new ones too! As much as I miss all of them, I am thankful for the confidence in knowing we have a great support system back in the Midwest, which I already knew, but not to this extent!     Biggest fear

    I don’t know about you, but one of THIS introvert’s biggest fears is going someplace where I don’t know anyone, by myself. I can give you an example from this past weekend. I was supposed to attend church with some friends, but something came up and they couldn’t go. I had been with them before, but I didn’t know anyone else. Now, I am typically pretty comfortable in churches. I grew up in one, my career revolves around working in them and most importantly, the community of the church has had a great impact on my faith.     what do I love to write?

    As I mentioned in a previous post, I have a passion for writing devotions. So, I figured I should provide a sample of what I have written. Every Friday for almost 7 years, I emailed out a devotion describing God’s love as I had seen it that week.     Needing to Remember

    Eleven years. I can’t believe it’s been eleven years. It hasn’t been that long, compared to other events in our nation’s history but differing perspectives comes with each generation alive today. I am sure our grandparents can’t believe it’s been over 70 years since the bombing of Pearl Harbor.I am sure our parents can’t believe it’s been almost 50 years since the assassination of JFK.     Quiet

    I started reading this yesterday. As I read the introduction, I realized how important it is for me to read this book. Since my freshman year of college, I have latched on to the importance of this element in my identity. Being an introvert plays a much larger role than I anticipated, but is also not all of me, which is important to remember. How do I understand and live it out? How do I not allow it to completely define me? How do I give introvert a better name in the world? I am hoping to answer all these questions as I read on.

    FOOTBALL!

    Today’s post is unrelated to any of my previous posts, but essential to my identity. There’s something you need to know about me.     I shortened the title, catchy, right? The unexpected blessing that I experienced this week came as my head was lowered and my heart was focused in prayer for all of those in the path of Hurricane Issac. As I said in a previous post, Hurricane Katrina had a significant impact on me and still stirs within my soul.
