Yesterday was not a good day for me. Nothing actually happened that made my day sour, but my mind was swirling with anxiousness and as the day went on, weariness set in.
By the time I was driving home, every little thing was frustrating me. Just a few minutes from my town, there was major construction going on, which I had to find an alternate route just to get home.
As I approached home, I was already thinking that I had nothing to write in my gratitude journal and definitely not for the blog. And then I remembered that one of my favorite shows was recorded. My spouse and I were going to have time tonight to watch it together. That brought a smile to my face.
Even though there isn’t a lot of quality television, I try to watch things that give me an escape from my reality, even if they relate to life. In 30 -60 minutes of a show, I can forget whatever was causing me stress that day, at least for those moments. And I got to spend that time watching with my husband, which is always a treat!
