I experienced so many unexpected blessings this past week as I went on a mission trip on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
The timing of this trip was bad as I perceived it. While I was looking forward to going, I had a lot to do before and after the trip. But God’s timing was all that mattered and I am so thankful I followed His call to go.
I will certainly share more in my posts this coming week about my experience, but the most unexpected blessing for me to be thankful for was the “timeout” I took to go on this trip.
I never expected to experience a new level of relationship richness in the group I went with, the group I met and the homeowners we worked with. The time spent serving gave me a new perspective and daily challenge to be mindful of being truly present in my daily walk.
