What Inspires Me? (March Edition)

What inspires me as we begin the month where spring begins? I’ve linked up with HopefulLeigh again this month, so check out what inspires as well as at her blog and fellow bloggers who have linked up!

Goal-Setting:

Let’s compare my goals for 2013 with this list. And this is how I’m doing…

Another goal that I have been thinking about formulating is selling the handmade cards I make. But I’m not sure I want to turn that into a business (nor do I think I have the time), so for now I am just contemplating. But this article still provided some good insight for future reference: Top Ten Tips for Starting an Etsy Business.  Any Etsy users out there that have tips?

I’m glad others have come to the realization that writing can’t be a full time job for all of us. This brought some encouragement on how I am supposed to make time for the writing while I’m also working! How to Write While Managing a Full-Time Job: 5 Ways to Maximize Your Time

Contemplative:

After reading a few different pieces on Megan Phelp’s exit from the church and family she has always known, here’s an honest article that has given me perspective on how I view and treat others because of what I believe. The Westboro Baptist in All of Us

Thanks Rachel Held Evans for sharing this title: “I wish I didn’t have faith” in your own Sunday Superlatives. It was timely as I contemplated some recent conversations and churning in my own heart.

Ah-Ha Moments:

Another thought on how giving something up for Lent is not just about us…40 Days of Water

My Praxis of Prayer  I do this all the time, say the phrase and not mean it. I want to mean it.

Encouraging:

One of my favorite bloggers/authors is back! The author of a book which positively reaffirmed my introverted personality left the blogging world several months ago, which made me sad, but I understood. Now he is back, making changes in his life and in his blog and I am excited for him! This recent post about listening doesn’t depend on your personality.

Hilarious:

This time management post is even more amusing to me now that I have finally STARTED to watch Star Wars. My husband read this article about watching them in this order: (IV, V, II, III, VI; Yep, leaving Episode I completely out) Since I have never seen them, I’m the guinea pig, but it was time. I am not sure how I made it this long without seeing them. Anyway, the article is about time management and Jedi mind tricks….awesome.

What inspires you this month?

  1. I've read a few pieces from Zach Hunt's blog (The American Jesus) recently that have resonated. I just saw he's joining the Deeper Story team, which will be great. Glad you're a fellow Adam McHugh fan! I can't wait to read his next book.

Thanks for linking up with What I'm Into!
